Car hits bicyclist; Macon man recovering from injuries

Bicyclist suffered minor injuries after being hit by a car

A local bicyclist is recovering after being struck by a car Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened in the 7200 block of Cola Parchee Road, about a mile away from Zebulon Road.
Bibb County Sheriff's Officials said the driver was heading westbound when he was blinded by the sun.
The driver's car struck Christopher Tillitski who was riding a bicycle in the same direction.
The driver told authorities he didn't know that he hit Tillitski until after he heard a loud sound.
Tillitski was treated at Northside hospital for minor injuries.
Authorities said no charges have been filed against the driver.
