Students at a Bibb County School got into the Christmas Spirit before their holiday break.
L. H. Williams Elementary School held it's Holiday Sing Along and Read-A-Thon on Thursday.
Students were allowed to wear their favorite pajamas to school for some holiday cheer.
Community members, parents and students song Christmas carols together.
Volunteers then read books to every classroom.
The school's principal, Shandrina Griffin Stewart, said the activities are to promote a love of reading.

"Our goal is to help our students become readers so we're really excited about today," said Stewart. " It's helping our students build a strength of character and becoming college ready."

Thursday was the last day of school before the student's holiday break. They return to school Monday, January 7th.
