Angels grace the Heavens

Clinton Bourgeois

The best pilots in the world put on a show for the city of Warner Robins Saturday.

The sound of jet engines could be heard from miles away, but the roar of the machines were only half the show.

As always, the precise maneuvers of the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels was the main event, but all performances were fitting for the headline role.

Clear skies and lots of sun caused problems for some spectators as a reported 140 people were treated for heat related illness. But those same clear skies made for the perfect backdrop to one of the most exciting shows in the world.

The air show wraps up Sunday where temperatures and conditions should mirror what was experienced today. Those planning to attend Sunday's finale are asked to come prepared to defend yourself from the sun and keep your body hydrated.
