NewsCentral Staff

A Jones County family is looking for temporary housing after their home caught fire Wednesday morning.
Jones County Fire Rescue officials said the fire happened at 157 Sand Creek Trail around 9:50 a.m.
It took firefighters an hour to put out the blaze.
Fire officials said a heating light that was keeping the family's dog warm outside caused the fire.
Firefighters said the light overheated.
The family wasn't home during the blaze.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family with immediate needs.
