Macon Outreach feeds hungry people every weekday- but today they took it to another level.
People in attendance at Friday's daily lunch participate in a thanksgiving celebration.
Hundreds gathered in the statuary of the church just moments before the program kicked off. Members of Macon Outreach expect to feed 400 people.
"We want them to gather together in the spirit of celebration, says John Hathcock, the Director of Macon Outreach. “We don't have room to fit them all down stairs so we moved to the Sanctuary up stairs and we feed them up stairs.
The celebration is an annual thanksgiving tradition for the members of Macon Outreach.
Macon Outreach will host a similar program to celebrate the Christmas season.
