Shonti Tager

Weekend Anchor/ Reporter

Born and raised in the Willamette Valley in Eugene, Oregon, Shonti attended Southern Oregon University where he played football, was elected to student government and wrote for the school's weekly newspaper the Siskiyou. During his final year of college Shonti began an internship at Medford, Oregon's CBS affilate, KTVL Channel 10, where he learned the art of television broadcast from some of the best and brightest in the industry.

After his internship Shonti was hired as a general assigment reporter for Rapid City, South Dakota's ABC affiliate, KOTA Territory News, near the beautiful Black Hills, or Paha Sapa, as the area is called by the local Lakota indian tribe. After two years of reporting stories for an expansive viewing area that covers all of Western South Dakota, Western Nebraska, and parts of Eastern Wyoming, Shonti decided to make a jump to the Southeast to enjoy a warmer climate closer to friends and family that live in the region.

Now in Macon Shonti looks forward to reporting and delivering stories that matter to the people of Middle Georgia, while taking advantage of the rich history and cultural diversity of the area.
