Nine Arrested in Prostitution Sting
The Perry Police Department and other local and federal law enforcement agencies took part in a series of stings Wednesday that resulted in the arrests of nine people on charges connected to prostitution.
The stings also involved FBI agents from Atlanta and Macon, the Gwinnett Police Department, Georgia Department of Corrections, and Sandy Springs Police Department.
The agencies, along with the Metro Atlanta Child Exploitation Task Force conducted an operation that targeted human trafficking and prostitution of juveniles. No juveniles were arrested or identified.
The operation focused on internet and hotels in the Middle Georgia area, as well as the pimps who exploit prostitutes in this area.
Four women were charged with prostitution: Amanda Hulsey, 20, of Lizella; Kelly Michelle Roberts, 43 of Warner Robins; Kristy Nicole Ussery, 22, of Macon, and Judith Hammock, 30, of Lizella.
Five men were charged with pimping: Scott Michael Mander, 39, of Macon; Rodney Leon Cooper Jr., 26, of Macon; William Rowell, 54, of Warner Robins; William Timothy Redford, 30, of Macon, and Daniel James Washburn, 29, of Macon.
All those arrested were being held in the Houston County Jail at midday on Thursday.
