The Super Bowl of Hymn Festivals

The Macon Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present, "The Super Bowl of Hymn Festivals" on February 3rd, 2013, at Mulberry United Methodist Church, 719 Mulberry Street in downtown Macon. The time will be 3:00 pm to give everyone time to get to other Super Bowl activities.

Leaders of the Festival include David Keith, Director of Graduate Studies for the Townsend School of Music and Director of the McAfee Institute for Graduate Studies in Church Music at Mercer University; Jack Mitchener, Director of the Townsend-McAfee Institute of Church Music, Associate Professor of Organ in the Townsend School of Music, University Organist at Mercer University, and Organist/Choirmaster at the historic Christ Episcopal Church; The Midtown Brass Quintet from Atlanta; and The Mercer Singers. Of course the main event is the singing of familiar hymns by all who attend.

There is no charge for this event, but donations will be accepted.
